FROZEN VEGETABLES HANDLING DATA SHEET
A. GENERAL INFORMATION
•Frozen vegetables are prepared from commercially grown vegetables suitable for freezing. Frozen vegetables are trimmed, washed, blanched, sorted, properly drained and frozen.
•The product is manufactured under conditions in compliance with current good manufacturing practices.
•The finished product and packaging conforms with the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act as amended and to all applicable state and local regulations.
•All Seabrook Brother’s & Son’s Quality Frozen Vegetables are not “READY-TO-EAT” foods and as such require cooking to “steaming hot” before consumption.
B. STORAGE AND HANDLING INFORMATION
•Keep vegetables frozen until ready to use.
•Do not refreeze if thawed.
•If thawed, cook promptly following directions on the label.
•Store in dry freezer at 0° F (-18° C) or lower.
•Check freezer temperature with thermometer and adjust controls as needed.
•Shelf life: 24 months from date of pack (wet pack)
•Shelf life: 18 months from repacked date for all IQF vegetables
